The George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust provides hospital and community based services to around 350,000 people in Nuneaton, Bedworth, North Warwickshire, South West Leicestershire and North Coventry. The hospital, which was opened in 1948, provides elective, non-elective, emergency, surgical, medical, women's, children's diagnostic and therapeutic services. We also provide primary and community services across Coventry, Warwickshire and Leicestershire.

The Trust has strong links with the local office of Health Education West Midlands, who provide education and training for a range of different roles at the hospital and in the community.
The George Eliot has strong partnership links with University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire (a local tertiary centre) and other providers of health care within our locality.
The Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) Department provides education, training and support to junior doctors working at George Eliot Hospital.
We have a dedicated Education Centre (GETEC) with excellent library facilities, simulation suite, a clinical skills centre and numerous teaching rooms including a lecture theatre. There is a very strong commitment to junior staff training. We are here to support and help you while you work at George Eliot Hospital.
